19 smiling faces punctuated the fun weekend enjoyed by all. The event started with a champagne reception hosted by Los Gatos Luxury Cars (LGLC), which had made special lodging arrangements at the elegant Hotel Los Gatos for those of us from out of town. The next morning we convened (photo) at the dealership for a light breakfast and then set off (photo) on a well-planned drive, piloted by LGLC salesman, Charlie Coles. The AE members present brought various Aston Martin models to the drive, including several V8 Vantage, DB4, DB9, and DB7i6. Over the next three hours we traversed about 90 miles of roads winding through Redwood forests and racing along the beautiful California coast, where LGLC had arranged a tasty lunch stop at the Davenport Roadhouse Restaurant (photo). The drive concluded as all should, with no car problems, accidents or tickets – just happy Aston owners. That evening we reassembled at the swank California Café in Los Gatos (...). All-in-all, the event could not have been nicer. Our special thanks goes to LGLC’s general manager, Chris Coster, (...) and to his staff for helping to make the day a success.
